Tracy-Kim is a Speech-Language Pathologist and has over 18 years experience in Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and over 25 years experience working with mindfulness and emotional/mental wellbeing. She has worked and studied in South Africa, Hong Kong, USA and now lives in Australia. I am 19 years old and I live in Hong Kong. I love being out and about. I am passionate about yoga, well-being and mindfulness. I love music, travelling and hanging out with family and friends. I am the ambassador of the YAMA Foundation and a “well-being” advocate for non-verbal people and people with special needs. I have Cerebral Palsy (CP) which is a physical disability that affects movement and posture. It is a life-long condition which is due to damage to the developing brain either during pregnancy or short after birth. However, I hear, see, think and understand just like you. I am unable to speak, but I communicate with my eyes, my body, a computer and a communication board
Kim Anderson lives in Hong Kong. Her youngest daughter, now a young adult, has cerebral Palsy: is a wheelchair user and being non-verbal she uses an alternative communication system which she accesses with her eyes. Kim founded and coordinates the Special Needs Network Hong Kong which is a platform for parents of children with Special Needs to connect, support, empower and share information. Kim is a strong advocate for special needs and looks for ways to support the individual's mental and physical well-being through a variety of avenues. She is currently collaborating with her daughter and team to develop a “well-being program” for young people with disabilities.
